Sean Valadao Duarte is a Lisboa-based (formerly Sydney-based) senior UX and product designer who helps brands turn big ideas into beautifully functional experiences and scale them with style.

From research to rollout, Sean brings a mix of strategic thinking and creative curiosity to every project, helping clients grow their products, sharpen their stories, and optimise every click and interaction along the way.

He’s designed web and app experiences for a range of brands, including Exceptional ALIEN, Sportsbet, Novvi, Venues NSW, McGrath, Constantinople, Trovio, Optimize Mind Performance (OMP), Wollemi, SXSW Sydney and Powershop, with a simple goal: make it work, make it delightful, and make it last.

In addition to UX, Sean’s practice spans Graphic Design, Art Direction, Motion Graphics and Sound Design. He has developed brand identities, logos, websites, prototypes and content across diverse industries and artistic collaborations. His design style draws on minimalism, brutalism and bold uses of colour and texture, favouring spatial compositions that balance playfulness with structured chaos. He strives for simplicity and refinement, always leaving space to explore the strange and unknown.

As co-founder of Foil Studio, a boutique web design agency, Sean specialises in crafting bespoke websites for small businesses and creatives, where thoughtful UX meets distinctive visual design.
